Her makeup remained soft and rosy, with defined black eyeliner and a coral-toned lip. Swift wore her blonde hair down in a smooth blowout, with her signature full fringe framing her face.

One Name on the Carpet Sparked an Immediate Reaction

But fashion was far from the only detail grabbing attention during Swift's red carpet appearance. As she posed for photographers, one called out, "Mrs. Kelce, right here please!" Swift responded with a slight smile while holding her position for the cameras.

The brief moment immediately stirred comments over the use of her married name. One person asked, "What they calling her Mrs. Kelce for?" while another wrote, "If anything, Travis should be Mr. Swift."

As those images spread, comments beneath an Instagram reel swung from glowing praise to pointed remarks about Swift's body. One person wrote, "She looks amazing. Better than ever." Another said, "She doesn't looks like her." [sic]

Some viewers zeroed in specifically on how Swift's body appeared in the images. One asked, "Is it just me or does she look a lot skinnier." Another wrote, "She looks so thin again. I hope she's okay. She said when she's thin, she stressing and worrying about her weight." [sic]

Not everyone agreed. One reply pushed back, reading, "I think she looks very fit. Very toned. She's probably working out with the hubby for the season. 😂"

Similar remarks appeared beneath a Facebook reel, where reactions were just as sharply divided between praise, criticism of the dress, and observations about Swift's appearance.

"She's gotten more beautiful since she got married. Love agrees with her. True class," one person wrote. Another simply said, "She looks chic!" Others took aim at the construction and fit of the gown.

One commenter wrote, "She is so slim. Doesn't need a squeezed in waist or padded hios. looks uncomfortable in that." [sic] "Is something wrong with her? That dress looks ridiculous," another wrote. A separate commenter said, "She's too skinny." One more commenter added "She looks uncomfortable and wobbly. Cute dress though."

Others focused on the way the outfit appeared as Swift posed. "She looks incredibly uncomfortable," one person wrote, while another said, "The posing is really wierd." [sic]

The 'Anti-Hero' Scene That Was Changed

In the original "Anti-Hero" video, Swift stepped onto a scale and looked down. Instead of displaying a number, the scale flashed the word "FAT" in capital letters.

Bebe Rexha Reveals What Swift Did Years Earlier

On the same VMAs red carpet, Bebe Rexha recalled how Swift supported her after a painful experience surrounding the 2019 Grammys. Rexha said designers would not dress her for that ceremony because of her size.

She told E! News at the 2026 VMAs that Swift reached out to her at the time. "I couldn't find a dress, and she had reached out to me because we're the same age," Rexha said.

The gesture stuck with Rexha because relatively few people contacted her. "Nobody really reached out — like some people did, but for her, at such a high level, to make me feel like I belong was really, really nice."
