Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have reunited for a new campaign for Gomez’s Rare Beauty, celebrating not just their friendship, but a limited-edition makeup set called the Delena: Soft Pinch Blush Bundle.
The “Still Making Each Other Blush” campaign introduces two shades of Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, Hope and Virtue, plus the brand’s Soft Pinch Blush Brush.

To promote the bundle, the multihyphenates tapped into their 2009 Disney Channel movie “Princess Protection Program,” recreating the film’s poster, with Gomez wearing a teal gown by Oscar de la Renta and Lovato wearing an embellished yellow Leo Lin mini dress, a nod to the colors they wore in the original poster, complete with tiaras and a pile of luggage.

“Once a Princess, always a Princess,” Gomez wrote on Instagram, sharing a few photos. “Best friends don’t just have each other’s backs. They make them blush too.”

In an Instagram Reel promoting the launch, Gomez and Lovato channeled their early YouTube days, recreating their chemistry in the vlogs they made together in the late 2000s.
“Being on set together felt like we were back in our old bedrooms making YouTube videos and playing with makeup,” Lovato said in a press release.

Gomez and Lovato have been friends since they were kids, after meeting in an audition for “Barney.” In another Instagram post celebrating the campaign, Gomez spoke of their bond. “Over 25 years of ups and downs in life and friendship and growth, there has always been a constant that has brought me back to you,” she wrote. “You were the person who knew the seven-year-old me who just had a dream, and I knew that you had a very big dream, too.”
“I love what we’ve been through. I’m proud of what we’ve been through,” she added. “Thanks for making me blush extra hard for this campaign.”

Lovato shared the sentiment. “Selena and I have shared a lot of memories over the years since childhood,” she said. “So being able to connect in this way, in a campaign that feels so nostalgic to both of us, is such a full-circle moment.”

But it wasn’t always smooth sailing between the two, who once drifted from each other. In a 2020 interview, Lovato acknowledged the falling out, but they have reconnected since, with Gomez even attending one of Lovato’s shows in April.

Their new collaboration celebrates how far they’ve come. “Coming together for this campaign was a beautiful reminder of that history and a chance to celebrate who we are today,” Gomez said. “One and the same….always.”
