How to Create a Home Management Binder
I’ve been looking for ways to bring more organization and order into my home and life. We are adjusting to my husband’s new work schedule and in about a month Isabella will be going into 4th grade. I know life is going to get busier and crazier. So I’m going to be putting together a home management binder.
That way everything is in order and organized more effectively. We will have our schedules in order and upcoming events laid out and all the necessary papers we will need in one place and easy to locate and grab.
Unfortunately, this is something I should have been doing for awhile now but to be honest I haven’t been keeping up with the paperwork aspect of my life. I’ve been working hard on organizing and taking care of other areas of our life but really lacking in this area.
Not anymore I’m getting things together and putting together a home management binder before the end of summer so we can start the next school year off on the right track. I am done trying to find papers we need and missing deadlines because we aren’t organized.
How I’m Putting together a home management Binder that works for me
There are so many ideas on putting together a binder. There are lots of ways to get organized. Some work for me and some don’t. So I’m trying a few things out to figure out what is best. I like keeping a lot of my stuff digital. My hand has trouble writing because of my disability. So where I can go digital I do. I need some paper though because my husband and daughter need to know what’s going on as well.
In the meantime, there are so many printables to use out there for your binder. People like to organize their binders in different ways for different needs so the options are endless.Â
For me I want my binder to have a calendar, a place for my budget, important information, school information and cleaning routines. You might need some of these, all of these or none of this.
To put together my binder I will need the printables I’m using, a 3 ringer binder, a three-hole punch, label maker and labels. Plus the papers to go in it.
Where to find Printables
There are so many places to find
I personally am a big fan of the printables Abby from Just a Girl and her Blog creates. I have used them in the past and am going to give them a go in my new home binder.
Two other great resources for binder printables are over at Thirty Handmade Days and from I heart Planners. All these options have some free printables as well as some printables you can purchase. I have used free printables and paid printables. It depends on what you need them for and what is available.
Putting your Binder together
Once you have found the right printables for your home and life. Then you can put together a home binder to keep all your information neatly stored and organized where you can find it.
